Puss in Boots:
The Last Wish

x Memrise

In 2023, I led a partnership with Dreamworks Puss in Boots: The Last Wish that blended my work on a language-learning app with my passion for film and storytelling, adding a creative twist to how we learn languages.

Total immersion: the best way to learn Spanish

How it started...

Stepping into this role fresh out of college was pretty intimidating—I had no professional experience, let alone in tech. Suddenly, I found myself working alongside engineers, localization managers, CEOs, and CRM leads, all while juggling tight deadlines and coordinating assets from multiple teams. On top of that, I was responsible for maintaining our relationship with DreamWorks, ensuring every detail was in place—even though I still didn't know what a "landing page" was.

The Process

But I figured it out—fast. I took ownership of key campaign elements, ensuring a smooth collaboration between Memrise and DreamWorks while navigating strict approval processes. I...

✅ Coordinated across teams—Product, Growth, and Content—to align messaging and execution.

✅ Developed landing pages and in-app Spanish lessons in four source languages: English (US & UK), French, Spanish, and German.

✅ Launched in four major markets: UK, Germany, France, and Spain.

✅ Created CRM communications and social media assets to drive engagement.

✅ Managed the partnership with DreamWorks, ensuring all assets went through three separate approval processes and adhered to strict brand guidelines to stay true to the Puss in Boots franchise.

It was a crash course in high-stakes brand storytelling—and proof that even with no prior experience, I could navigate complex projects, manage partnerships, and bring campaigns to life.

How it ended!

Luckily, I had an incredibly supportive team that guided me on what to do—and what not to do. Their clarity helped me quickly find my footing, and soon I was producing assets like landing pages, lessons, videos, and social media posts. I met deadlines, built strong relationships, and even earned some press coverage along the way.

Oh! I even got to plan a screening of the film at Universal's London office!
